Your favorite things, your strengths, and what gets you really excited. I love to see how God created us differently and then encourage each person to find a way to use those gifts and strengths in the church or community to serve God. I firmly believe that we are all better together so when we each figure out what we are really good at doing and we do it, not only will we find excitement and confidence, but everyone around us benefits.

MY FAMILY

My husband, Dan, and I have three children: Mitch, Nick, (and his wife, Lexi and daughter, Paige), and Colby. All three of our kids have grown up to be young adults with their own sense of adventure. We set that example by taking them camping in our motorhome to quite a few different places in the United States and Canada over the years. Probably one of the biggest memory makers for our family was the month that we drove the camper to Haynes, Alaska and floated our camper back home on the Alaskan Ferry to Bellingham, Washington.

WHERE I'M FROM

I grew up on a farm ten miles outside of Henry, Illinois. I went to school in Henry and we went to church in Lacon, which was our biggest school rival. That made for lots of interesting conversations, competitions, and ball games, but I think it made me realize the importance of learning how to get to know people and not just assume what others tell you. When Dan and I married we moved to Daytona Beach, Florida for 8 years until I decided that I missed being around family and have 4 different seasons. We have lived in Illinois ever since.

WHEN I'M NOT AT LEROY FIRST

I am probably reading a book, baking a new gluten free recipe or riding my motorcycle with Dan.

Anything! I love listening to stories, learning about new things and seeing things from other people’s perspectives. If I don’t have the answer to your question, I’ll do my best to find it for you!

MY FAMILY

My husband, Matthew, and I have been married since 2011. We have two sons, Royce and Samuel. No doubt, God has blessed me with these three so life is never boring…and I’m so grateful for it! We also have a dog named Winnie. A cattle dog mixed breed that has endless energy and endless loyalty.

WHERE I’M FROM

I was born and raised in the Bloomington/Normal area. When Matthew and I got engaged in 2010, I moved to LeRoy. I much prefer the small town feel of LeRoy over “big city” Bloomington/Normal!

WHEN I’M NOT AT LEROY FIRST UMC

You can find me at home, running errands for the family or going on little adventures with my sons. I also have the best neighbors on planet Earth, so you can sometimes find me sitting in the driveway with a Diet Coke, enjoying their company and watching all our kids run around, playing in the neighborhood.
