The EDGE Youth group is for all 7th - 12th grade students. It doesn’t matter what church you go to on Sunday or if you don’t go to church at all, you will find a home on Wednesday nights at the UMC! We do lots of learning, playing, eating, celebrating, socializing, etc……. One of the highlights of the year is our summer mission trip. We do not know where we are headed as of yet…but it will be awesome!!

Mission Trip 2025

Our EDGE students traveled to Detroit, MI in June of 2025. We worked for Detroit Abloom (Urban Gardens), The construction crews did a lot of demolition work for the Detroit Rescue Mission as well as building a deck for them. The painters prepared several sleeping rooms for future and current residents at the Detroit Rescue Mission. Our Ministry crew worked in a variety of places preparing and serving food, and organizing and sorting tons of clothes that have been donated to different organizations. We worshipped and laughed and worked and ate and played all week! Our “fun day” consisted of a group heading to Cedar Point Amusement Park in Sandusky, OH, another group playing and driving go-karts at C.J. Barrymore’s and the final group checking out the Henry Ford Museum, Motown Museum, exploring the city and eating some good food.

EDGE Night

Join us every Wednesday at 7:00 - 8:30pm in the EDGE room where our teens wrestle together with God’s word and grow in their friendships. Any and all 7th graders thru Senior in HS are encouraged and welcome to attend.

Mission Trip

Every Summer our EDGE teens and a number of courageous adult leaders head out to make God’s love real in communities all across our nation. In June of 2025 we took 52 teens and adults to Detroit, MI. The 2026 trip will be announced soon.

Fellowship

We believe discipleship is something we do together as a family. So, all throughout the year our EDGE teens grow together with all kinds of special events from game nights and movies to special outings. Plus we do some fun fundraisers as well, such as: Fish Fry, Dessert Auction; Skillet Cookies, etc…
