The EDGE Youth group is for all 7th - 12th grade students. It doesn’t matter what church you go to on Sunday or if you don’t go to church at all, you will find a home on Wednesday nights at the UMC! We do lots of learning, playing, eating, celebrating, socializing, etc……. One of the highlights of the year is our summer mission trip. We do not know where we are headed as of yet…but it will be awesome!!

Mission Trip 2026

The EDGE spent a great week in Kansas City!  We spent time doing construction work and Central Baptist Church; we did ministry work at several locations: Hope Network of Raytown, Blessings Abound & Redemptorist Social Services.  We conducted a “Backyard Bible Club” in a local park, we painted at River of Refuge and we helped out with some of the prep work for the World Cup activities.  We finished the week with a fun day where a large group went to World’s of Fun Amusement Park and others did a little sightseeing and ate a lot of BBQ!  It was another successful week and I appreciate all of the adults who participated as well as everyone in our community who donated money & items and participated in all of our fundraisers and of course those who offered us their prayers!!

EDGE Night

Join us every Wednesday at 7:00 - 8:30pm in the EDGE room where our teens wrestle together with God’s word and grow in their friendships. Any and all 7th graders thru Senior in HS are encouraged and welcome to attend.

Mission Trip

Every Summer our EDGE teens and a number of courageous adult leaders head out to make God’s love real in communities all across our nation. In June of 2026 we took 57 teens and adults to Kansas City. The 2027 trip will be announced soon.

Fellowship

We believe discipleship is something we do together as a family. So, all throughout the year our EDGE teens grow together with all kinds of special events from game nights and movies to special outings. Plus we do some fun fundraisers as well, such as: Fish Fry, Dessert Auction; Skillet Cookies, etc…
